A rare and visually striking set of nine antique Kensington fireplace tiles, late 19th century, clearly marked on the reverse. Deeply molded botanical motif — possibly stylized tulip or poppy pods — in high relief, glazed in a flowing mottled butterscotch-gold with dramatic depth and exquisite all-over crazing. Each tile 6 x 6 inches, originally part of a Victorian fireplace surround; together they form a bold, sculptural surface with warmth and architectural gravitas. Marked Kensington Tile Co.; circa 1885–1890. Ideal for restoration, framing, or a stunning wall installation.
