A rare set of American Encaustic Tile Company fireplace bars, glazed in soft clouded tones of lavender, pale blue, and cream. Their surfaces shimmer with antique craquelure, a luminous mist that shifts between dawn-colored hues. Kept intact as a single, harmonious lot.

Count & Size: 71 tiles at 1.5″×6″ and 73 tiles at 1.5″×3″
Coverage: ~6.63 sq ft
Glaze: Clouded lavender, pale blue, cream with rose undertones and antique crackle
Condition: Antique salvage; timeworn edges, mortar traces, and patina

Enough to complete a full surround facing, or for a jewel-box backsplash, bath accent, or mudroom wainscot. Made by the American Encaustic Tile Company, Zanesville, Ohio — the largest tileworks in the U.S. by the 1890s.
