This exceptional set of 33 antique fireplace tiles comes from the Alhambra line of the American Encaustic Tile Company (AETCO) — clearly marked on the reverse. Produced at the height of AETCO’s architectural work in the early 20th century, these 6×6 inch tiles were designed for elegant hearth installations and formal interiors.

This set forms a full floral medallion hearth layout, featuring a complex pattern in a rare and richly colored palette of powder blue, cocoa brown, gray, and ivory. The bold medallion motifs repeat across the surface, bordered by coordinating corner and edge pieces, all laid out as originally installed in a historic hotel in Colorado.
