A matched set of 8 antique transfer-print tiles from Minton’s China Works, Stoke-on-Trent, c. 1875–1890. Each tile carries a crisp thistle bloom framed by scrolling foliage, printed in iron-red against a soft ivory ground — a classic Victorian botanical. Minton was one of the great English potteries of the 19th century, innovators of encaustic floors and transfer-printing whose work graced landmark commissions including the Houses of Parliament. 8 tiles, 6 x 6 in each, marked Minton’s China Works with globe stamp. Victorian originals with fine crazing and light edge wear; clean, even transfer print.
