Lot of 55 antique fireplace tiles made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company (AETCO). Includes 41 tiles (1 x 4 in) and 14 tiles (1 x 2 in). A soft vanilla cream glaze with undertones of parchment and pale yellow, showing desirable signs of age like light surface crazing and glaze variation. Backs marked AETCO. Salvage condition with surface wear, edge nicks, and some glaze flaws — a solid option for restoration or rustic installations where authenticity matters.
