Description

An authentic antique fireplace tile set by the Cambridge Tile Company, salvaged from a historic Cincinnati, Ohio home. The glaze is subtle: a porcelain cream base with pale celadon blue movement and warm cocoa-toned clouding, finished with fine, even craquelure — calm, mineral, and architectural. From a small fireplace; 37 tiles at 6 in, 46 at 3 x 1.5 in, plus 6 x 1 in strips. Cambridge Tile Company, Covington, Kentucky, c. 1895–1910; good antique condition with age-appropriate wear.
