A distinctive lot of antique caramel-toned tiles with a wild, giraffe-like spotted glaze — golden caramel over cream, with crazing and surface variation typical of antique tile. Unmarked but likely American-made around the early 20th century; the backs carry a repeating raised gridded-bar pattern. Included: 14 tiles at 1 x 6 in and 6 at 1 x 3 in. Fair to good condition — aged glaze, one cracked corner. The irregular spotting reads almost like art pottery — perfect for a bit of the unexpected in a fireplace border, backsplash, or wall feature.
